Phoenix, AZ – Arizona author Scott Warga, a well-known Phoenix Home Inspector, is now a best-selling author. Published by GoProLocal, Mr. Warga’s new book, “THE INSIDER’S GUIDE TO BECOMING A HOME INSPECTOR: What You Need to Know”, found its way to three different Amazon Best-Seller lists.
The Insider’s Guide captured the #2 spot in the Kindle store’s “Business & Money” category while holding on to the #5 spot in the Business “Startups” department. The new e-book grabbed a third Best-Seller spot in Books with a #12 position in the “Job Hunting” department.
The popularity of the book also rated a place in the “Hot New Releases” lists for each of the departments.
Mr. Warga, owner of Phoenix’s American Construction Specialists & Inspection, wrote the book in response to the many questions he receives regarding his career. This triple best-selling book is a testimony, not only to the resurgence in home building market, but also to the popularity of books offering advice and a ‘leg up’ into the Home Inspection business.
Scott is a Residential and Commercial General Contractor in the state of Arizona and the Qualifying Party for ACSI, American Construction Specialists and Investigations, LLC. He has served on the National Board of Directors of The American Society of Home Inspectors. He has served ASHI as a Director, Secretary and Vice President, and served for several years at the local chapter level as well.
Scott’s “Insider’s Guide” contains usable information for the reader rather than just abstract marketing concepts. Scott provides insights and experience gained from a quarter century of building contracting, inspecting and construction forensics. During this time, he has performed over 3,000 inspections. Asked why he wrote a book on a subject he teaches, Scott says it is about saving time. “My involvement in ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and being quite active in social media means that I talk to people interested in becoming a home inspector a few of times a month. Most of them have the same questions. That inspired me to write the book as many times these conversations can last up to an hour.”
The book covers the business from ‘why become’ an inspector through selection of classes or training, taking exams, to discussions of setting up your business plan, licensing, bonding and more. He shows the finer points of an actual inspection and includes a section on requirements for other states for those outside of Arizona.
Scott also offers “some hard facts that some schools don’t want to tell you about until you are halfway through the class.” Scott is a Certified Home Inspector in the state of AZ and has been appointed to the AZ Board of Technical Registration’s Enforcement Advisory Committee.
